Okay, so I was on Pinterest a while back and saw this cute little outfit featured on the PB&J kids.com website. I knew I had to make one like it. So I bought the pattern from Farmhouse Fabrics and got to work. I used Michael Millers dot fabric that I bought here in Savannah at Fabrika and a white batiste for the lining, ruffles and bow.
Here is my version.
All in all, it was a fairly decent pattern to follow. Beginners should probably opt for another pattern. There is one thing wrong with the instructions that I noticed. If you have 60" fabric that is folded, this will not apply. The panties will not fit on 45" wide fabric when folded. You have to open it up and cut 2 separate pieces. This is shown in the instructions; however, it is shown with the pattern piece in the same direction. You HAVE to flip the pattern over, or you will have two rights or lefts (I forget which), and you need one right and one left.
I would also have liked to have had a ruffler for my Viking, since I had soooo many pleats. I will make this again, but I will use ruffles for the legs, and I hope to have a ruffler by then.
This is for one of my great-nieces. Gosh, I just don't like hearing myself say great-anything! I feel old! :)
Have a happy day!
